I’ve recently heard the score that John Debney has composed for this joyous occasion. Dude is channelling Alan Silvestri like he was possessed. Whatever this film may end up being, it is most definitely going to SOUND like a Predator film.
Also heard tell that Adrien Brody tried to throw in his own ‘get to the chopper’ moment. Sounds like everyone’s having a blast. Hope we will too. Let’s also hope that there are no ‘Billy’ deaths in this one…
…and yes, I know that Billy’s death in PREDATOR was an editing decision, and that there exists an actual fight scene with Billy and the Predator that was left on the cutting room floor for pacing purposes. I think it was the right decision, and I actually agree with the editor’s choice. But don’t you hate it when movies build up a badass only to have him get killed in a not-so-badass moment? Like that badass dude in BLADE II? Ugh.
Anyhow – here’s the way cool poster for PREDATORS. Love that it’s the POV of the Predator. Keep your fingers crossed for goodness.
Like what I’ve seen so far on this from concept art to clips… holding out hope. The worst bad-ass/punk out like you mentioned above remains Boba Fett. Adding him into the “New Hope” SE and the prequels just made his death even lamer and more bitch-like.
Boba Fett. One of the all-time great punk out deaths for a bad-ass. Even ended with a burp. Although, what I meant about ‘Billy’ deaths was about the ‘good guys.’ Guys we want to have an awesome death. Butch and Sundance had awesome deaths, for example. Boba Fett’s death was lame to be sure, but a punkout death is even worse when it happens to a goodguy badass
